FSF Commanding Officer
Wednesday, July 17, 2013, 03:01 PM
Effective July 15, 2013 I have officially taken command of the greatest sim group in the history of online simming.

After 20 years of leading the FSF, AdmShuni, my friend for over 16 years has stepped down and entrusted me to lead the group that he founded and lead.

The FSF has been my home for the past 16 years and it is with great pleasure that I am able to now lead this wonderful group of simmers into what I hope is a prosperous future.

What's in a name?
Wednesday, January 16, 2013, 03:34 PM
As you may or may not know, after a ten year hiatus from high school I decided to finally enroll in college to get my undergraduate degree. Anyway, as an introduction exercise for my English 102 class we had to write about our name. Anything we wanted. So, I thought I would share what I wrote here.

My full name is rather long: Joseph Victor Eugene Ferguson. My name is one of heredity stemming from my mother's father named Joseph Victor and from my father Eugene. No, his first name isn't Eugene but his middle name is, as was his father's middle name, and his father's father's middle name. My brother, some cousins, and even my son all share the middle name Eugene. I find that I have more pride in the heritage of Eugene that I do my other two names as I found out that my grandfather made up the name Joseph Victor when he married my grandmother. A con-artist of sorts, he created this name that I am now named after. While the connection is clear to me and my parents where my name comes from it has little meaning to my mother's father's family since they only know the name Joseph Victor as a made up name by the black sheep of their family, my grandfather.

Quotes heard around the University of Tennessee
Friday, December 7, 2012, 01:31 PM
Just wanted to share some funny quotes I've heard the past few days.

"I'm not a big fan of anything flavored orange… except for oranges."

"Well, I spent six and a half hours yesterday learning an entire semester of math. But I feel I can ace the test now, so it was probably worth it."

"I kept telling her, 'I DO have snapdragons in my garden, I DO have them. And they're very pretty!'"

First Flight
Wednesday, May 9, 2012, 07:58 PM
My first time flying was great. I flew from Knoxville, Tn to Denver and then from Denver to Salt Lake. I will post videos on my FSF Titan Facebook page.

Salt Lake City is great too. It is so beautiful. I wish I had the wife and kids out here, I think they would really enjoy it.

Trouble sleeping?
Monday, May 7, 2012, 11:42 PM
My first flight ever is less than 8 hours away and I can't go to sleep.

My oldest daughter cried half the evening because she's scared to death for me to fly. Not to mention I've never been so far from them before nor have I been away from them so long. It's only four days but I still think I have some separation anxiety.

We will just take things a day at a time.
