Memorial Day Weekend
Sunday, May 25, 2014, 10:28
As I sit here this fine Sunday with the Indy 500 on as background noise. Suddenly my attention is drawn to the greatest spectacle on earth.

You may ask what has caught my attention?

Well it was the segment on remembering the Veterans, which is what this weekend is all about.

The segment they did on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. It was done with the utmost respect.

Then just after the prayer, the Honor Guard came in and did their Twenty One Gun Salute with a play of Taps.

To me this was a great tribute remembering our fallen but also I took it to meant that we DO remember those who have served and given the ultimate for the freedoms that we so greatly enjoy such as the Indy 500.

So, lets all take a moment to remember those that have served and are gone as well as the ones that have returned home.

Till next time.

Have a great weekend.

The hits keep on coming.
Friday, February 28, 2014, 14:15
Well with everything going on I almost forgot to come and do an entry.

The saga with my truck has continued through the month. To make a long story short on the truck it cost me another $500 in parts for the HVAC system failure that died after it was hit. They swear up and down that it has been broken for a long time. NOT! So insurance picked up the labor but I still got stuck with parts, 3 Blend door's and 2 mode motors. Anyway it is back and I am able to keep on trukin.

The wife's van was a money hog this month as well, had to put an absorbinate amount into having the upper and lower intake gasket sets replaced.

I guess it could be worse. Like having to buy new vehicles so we should be good for a while.

Cindy has her scan this coming Monday, then we will see where the tumor is. Then make a decision on what the next course of action will be for her treatment. All I know is she is very tired now into the second year of this mess.

So for now I am off to finish up things and preparing for the Fleet Award ceremony scheduled for tonight.

Till sometime in the future.

Another Month Passes
Friday, January 31, 2014, 07:20
Well another month has gone by.

As I had said last month, we were waiting on the results of the PET scan, the good news is that there are no new hot spots unfortunately there still is a hot spot in Cindy's left lung, so here in about 20 days she will be back in from her break to get started with another round of treatment.

I finally got my truck back and it is in fine shape. Was a bit frustrating in the fact that they did not listen to me on what was wrong with the front end which delayed the repairs by almost 10 days. I am not a professional mechanic, but I do have eyes and I know when a part is bad and or broken for the most part. Especially a front end. To many years of racing and replacing front end parts. LOL

Other than that and work in the shop it has been a realitivly quiet month which was nice for a change.

Till later.

Yet another stellar month
Thursday, December 26, 2013, 08:01
Well December has been another ride on the wild side.

To start the month off there have been discoveries with Cindy's health that are once again scary. But we will not know whet the results really are till the PET scan comes back.

Couple that with the fact i went to run an errand, come out of the store only to discover that my truck had been hit and now I have been without it since the 9th of the month. Really makes it difficult to get anything done. So have been reduced to doing time in a mini van. I hate the thing. Just is not my style.

However, through all this though I applied to and was selected as the FSF Training Director. For this I am grateful and look forward to the challenge.

I am hoping that 2014 will be less stressful with less challenges along with more prosperity.

With all of this that has transpired in 2013, I am ever so thankful that I have friends to spend time with, I have my health and have things to look forward to.

Best wishes from me to all of you.

Roller Coaster ride of 2013
Saturday, November 30, 2013, 08:55
Here it is the last day of the month. . .again. . .and I am just now getting around to the blog to complete requirements and share events, thoughts and what ever.

Well this year is nearly gone and not without its strife and challenges. It has been a roller coaster of a year that seems to have been thwarted with more down hills and valleys than climatic successes.

With my long time sud o-simulated but not the real thing wife (no judicial paper involved and in a non common law marriage state ) being diagnosed with a terminal affliction and the ensuing months of treatments (which now are scheduled to go into 2014 ), the loss of another child, business falling off dramatically, becoming an assistant Director for communications ( an up moment ), becoming Alpha Fleets XO ( another up moment ) and I am quite sure that I could go on and on, but I wont.

Anyway my point being, that there is always trouble on the tracks of life but there is also a light or several lights within this tunnel we call life. You have to just look for them.

One of my lights is always the FSF, it is a place that I find comfortable, weather it is just chatting with everyone from time to time or working on a project to actually simming and or hanging out on with FSF Radio Live with Margo.

Another light in this long tunnel of life right now is that I have been approached by a inventor and patent holder of many designs. He has asked me to take some of his patent ideas and bring them to flourishin so that they can be sold either in tact as a package or just the manufacturing rights to the patent. This has turned out to be both exciting and stressful all at the same time. Using the knowledge and education both form years of school ( many many moons ago) and real life experiences. I am applying my abilities to ideas that can make a difference in the world as we know it. But, this too also comes with its challenges. Which can be overcome with a cool head, analytical thought and well executed processes.

In the long run this should really help with the daily expenses and the long term care that is needed for my sudo-wife.

In the long run, I am thankful for all that I have, even though I may have to traverse a few thunder storms, move a few clouds to see the light or even sail a few stormy sea's. I just know this, the light is out there.

May the universe shine on you with its warm energy and light.

I am still in shock with an incident that occurred last week. I was heading west out of town with a load of rubbish from the yard when my tarp decided to give me grief. I finally got tired of trying to keep the tarp down. So I pulled off the highway and went to a local Wal-Mart. I bee bopped back to the auto section and found what I needed and headed toward the checkout.

I am standing there waiting for assistance, the only one in the line. A lady stepped up to the cash register and announced that she would not help me. “Oh Really” I said with eyes wide and mouth a half gape. At that point I was told that my body is a temple and I should treat it as such, not put holes in my eats or other parts of my body nor should I adorn upon my skin.

Now my mouth is full a-gape in shock and all I could do in response was “Ma’am you are right my body is a temple, I am just decorating the walls as you would any structure.” Then I could not contain myself and went off asking if I were the cashier, then the tangent ensued using every physical description of her then saying I would not help her because of those qualities. She said that is discrimination and stereo typing. “EXACTLY!” I replied.

Standing my ground and waiting to be checked out the Manager who had been standing behind this employee stepped up with a pleasant smile. She apologized for the employees actions and happily checked me out and even offered to buy me a cup of coffee and Danish for my inconvenience. I politely denied because I had to be moving along.

Now in this day and age I could not believe what had happened but it was a true eye opener. Although unfortunate there is still a high level of discrimination in the world.

May the universe shine brighly upon you.

Summer is over and what a ride!
Sunday, September 29, 2013, 08:55
Well we are now into September and officially into the Fall months.

This is month 7 of the chemotherapy for my significant other and the toxicity levels are climbing causing nerve toxicity or better known as neuropathy. For now it is only her toes and the balls of her feet. She is dealing with it as best one can expect. She is a trooper and continues going to work almost daily. Every session is different and the effects continue to mount. At this point only time will tell if they can get it under control.

Months of negotiation have gone down the tubes between myself and a local hobby shop to combine our efforts. Unfortunately the shop owner is going to have to lay off one of his employees due to the bad times this year. I was planning to branch out as well to include power tool repair for a local plumbing shop, but in an effort to better leverage the tax system he decided to change course and hire a full time employee and keep the repairs in house.

So I keep on keeping on day to day.

On the simming front USS Phoenix and Starbase 35 have been doing a hybrid / joint venture with great success. It has been a wonderful experience.

With my new duties as Alpha Fleet XO, we are working on new strategies and angles to help not only the fleet but the group as a whole.

So now to move on and get after the things in life and my alternate life.

Another monthgone
Tuesday, September 3, 2013, 18:35
Well another month has slipped by along with another missed entry due to a major dispute between myself and the ISP. They kept saying that it was my equipment that was causing the problem and loosing connectivity.

Funny after a multitude of days days of arguing with the clowns that read from a script and finally getting hold of a true network engineer my service finally has been restored to an stable level.

Funny thing is they asked me later if I wanted a job with Cox COmmunications as a network engineer and lead trouble shooter.

I just said no because Ihave already rode that bike and do not want to do it again.

So anyway for the moment I am finally back on the air and continuing with things.

Hopefully there will be more soon.

Well it appears that I have been remiss in making any updates to the blogs like I should. But I guess that is what happens when real life interferes with the best laid plans.

Life has been more than hectic in my little world, been to and care taker for 3 surgeries. However, they all seem to have worked out well.

My wife has her voice back some what since the vocal cord surgery, my daughters boyfriend is headache free after brain surgery and his mother is now able to walk with out pain after knee surgery.

Cindy is holding her own with the treatments but the doctors are pessimistic in the fact they say they can not cure her.

Simms are trudging along as usual and with the new administration fully enacted there should be some good continuity.

Anyway, I hope to be a bit more diligent in my blog posts.

An unfortunate event
Friday, May 3, 2013, 10:33
Hello all,

It pains me and brings great sadness that due to an unfortunate incident on the FSF IRC network I have opted to pull down the scripts that I have written not only for entertainment of the users but as a way for me to occupy my mind from day to day life when I can't sleep and not posting in a SIM.

I will bring the scripts back up in the future once things get sorted out. If you are a user of the scripts I am sorry for the inconvenience. If you were planning to try them out, be patient and they will be back eventually.

Have a great day.
